UB prepared me for the world by challenging me inside and outside the classroom. UB set me up for success through the many events they held on campus. My experiences at UB taught me how to maintain a healthy work-life balance. During my junior year, I was president of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, on the Future Leaders of Hip-hop dance team, and two other clubs on campus, and I worked as an RA — all while studying Biology and preparing to go on to veterinary school. I wouldn't change my UB experience for the world!

I graduated with a master’s degree in Computer Engineering from the School of Engineering at University of Bridgeport as an international student from Pakistan. In my two years here, I secured a graduate assistantship, which not only helped me financially but allowed me to work with one of the coolest staff members at UB, which tremendously helped me grow professionally and paved the way for my career.

Being at UB was a transformative experience. UB was the first time for me where my knowledge met innovation. I could combine my MBA program with the (Bauer Hall) Innovation Center — pairing what I was learning in the classroom with hands-on experiences. If it weren't for UB, I don’t know how much longer my start-up would have taken to launch. UB surrounded me with mentors who were able to help me all along the way. The entire experience was a testament to the support that laid the foundation for my entrepreneurial journey."
